Our Gardens
We have one established garden, our household, or "test" garden adjacent to our 1929 farmhouse on River Road,
approximately 2 miles north of the cabins. We are in the process of building two additional two-acre gardens. Our
master plan also includes a 37-acre orchard and vineyard, which will probably come on line in 2010.
We grow tomatoes, peppers, melons, squash, cucumbers, eggplant, peas, beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, lettuces,
spinach, carrots, radishes, chinese vegetables, peaches, plums, persimmons, and pecans in our current gardens.
Our additional gardens coming on will allow us to grow even more, and there will be an additional concentration of herbs.
In addition, we grow antique roses, wild flowers, and cut flowers in our gardens -- including an abundance of sunflowers.
